General Description
Aaniiih Nakoda College is seeking a full-time Allied Health/Health Science Instructor. The instructor is responsible for teaching students in classroom and lab environments. The instructor shall assist with the recruitment and retention of students to the Allied Health/Health Science program. The instructor shall maintain current knowledge of research, practice, and trends in allied health and the health sciences. Salary is based upon education, experience, and qualifications. The instructor shall actively participate in college life and activities. Under the supervision of the Dean of Academic Affairs, the instructor shall:
* Teach 15 (approximately) credits per semester;
* Manage laboratories as needed;
* Serve as academic advisor to students in the Allied Health/Health Sciences programs;
* Serve on curriculum committee and other committees assigned;
* Perform program assessment activities;
* Coordinate the review and revision of the education programs;
* Manage grant awards and activities;
* Support the Nursing Education Program;
* Supervise students' research and internship activities; and,
* Shall be willing to work with a full range of college students.

* Knowledge of and unreserved commitment to Aaniiih Nakoda College’s mission and educational philosophy;
* Understanding and demonstrating knowledge in higher educational and vocational training;
* Solid knowledge and experience in the field of education;
* Strong writing and communication skills;
* Student advising and transcript evaluation;
* Gifts of teaching and leadership both in the classroom and beyond; and,
* Ability to integrate academic and cultural understanding.

BIOB 270 Bioethics (3 credits)
BIOH 201 Anatomy and Physiology I (3 credits)

BIOH 211 Anatomy and Physiology II (3credits)
BIOH L211 Anatomy and Physiology II Lab (1 credit)
BIOM 250 Microbiology for Health Sciences (3 credits)

Educational Requirements
Required Master’s degree in Biology with an area of emphasis in Allied Health; a doctorate degree in Biology or Allied Health is preferred;
Must be knowledgeable of tribal colleges;
Experience in and/or commitment to teaching community college students.
Minimum 2 years of instruction, preferably with adult learners;
Must demonstrate a strong background in post-secondary education;
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Salary: Salary depends on education, experience, and qualifications.
