JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Answers alarms and investigate disturbances, apprehends unauthorized persons and notifies local law enforcement agency as needed and appropriate. Assists in conducting fire drills and takes the lead in emergency situations until help (fire Department, Police Department, Supervisor) arrives. Assists the fire department, environmental health department, and safety officer inspect grounds and facilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment at all times. Controls traffic by directing drivers. Be courteous to all visitors, students, faculty, and staff. Professional standards on tour of duty. Enforces rules and regulations governing NTU and Navajo Nation against loitering, smoking, drug and alcohol use, carrying and transporting contraband.
