About the Role

The Head Start Pathways Program (HSPP) Coordinator manages the HSPP grant. This is a five-year grant-funded program that supports students who want to work in an early childhood education setting. Students in the program pursue an associate’s degree at White Earth Tribal and Community College (WETCC) and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota – Crookston or another higher education institution with which we form a partnership.

·         A strong understanding of program coordination and administration, with the ability to keep projects organized and moving forward.

·         An appreciation for culturally responsive practices in program administration and community engagement.

·         Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across variety of audiences.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems, along with the ability to learn new technology and software applications

·         Sound judgment and a commitment to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.

·         The ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, business administration, early childhood education, or related field

·         Two years of experience in program coordination, grant administration, early childhood education, or related field

·         Experience developing and maintaining collaborative relations with community organizations, educational partners, or stakeholders

·         Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting program data

Bonus Qualifications

·         Experience managing federal, state, or tribal grant-funded programs

·         Experience in Higher Education

·         Experience supervising staff

·         Experience working with Head Start or other early childhood education programs

·         Experience working with diverse or underrepresented student populations

·         Experience working with Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU’s) or Native American communities
