General Summary:
This Tribal Governance and Administration instructor will provide the time and support
necessary to teach, evaluate, advise, and support students who enroll in the Tribal
Governance and Administration program, as well as those who enroll in Native American
Studies courses that are offered as general education courses. The Tribal Governance and
Administration instructor may teach up to 15 credits per quarter, or 45 credits per academic
year, possibly including, but not limited to: History of Federal Indian Policy; Federal Indian
Law; Tribal Courts; Principles of Tribal Sovereignty; Tribal Gaming; Indian Education - Finance
and Administration; Intergovernmental Relations; Tribal Health and Wellness; 638 Contracts
and Compacts; Strategic Planning for Tribal Organizations; History of Tribal Government on
the Flathead Reservation; and/or, other courses as assigned.
