SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the Accountant will perform all accounting tasks, including preparing and maintaining financial and business transactions. Therefore, the ideal candidate has accounting experience and knowledge of GAAP and 2 CFR PART 200 of the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. In addition, the candidate will use analytical and evaluative skills in accounting theory and practice.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area.
3 plus years of accounting experience.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process all purchase requisitions and verify accuracy of account numbers, descriptions, amounts, approvals, and source documentation.
Process all payroll and perform data entry and electronic filing.
Process all student scholarships, grants, and other financial aid.
