Job Description

This position is part of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), Department of the Interior (DOI). As a Campus Advocate Coordinator you will be responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and conducting programs, trainings, and initiatives designed to educate and support faculty, staff, and students regarding their rights. Ensuring investigations of reports and complaints of misconduct are adequate, reliable, timely, confidential and impartial.

As a Campus Advocate Coordinator, GS-0301-7/9/11, your typical work assignments will include the following under supervision:

  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and conduct training and initiatives designed to educate and support faculty, staff, and students regarding their rights where applicable.
  • Handle claims of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and gender discrimination with sensitivity and neutrality.
  • Collaborate with leadership and campus constituencies to disseminate information, redesign processes, and support the University's investigative processes.
  • Select, train, and oversee designated investigative staff across critical areas of the institution.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments including orientation, programs, admissions and other relevant department to ensure effective communication with incoming students.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and ensure investigations of reports and complaints of sexual misconduct are adequate, reliable, timely, confidential and impartial.
  • Assist in the university's compliance efforts with Clery Act, VAWA, and NAIA sexual violence policies and requirements and related reporting requirements.
