JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBITITIES:
1. Recruits basketball athletes for the program.
2. Coaches and supervising student practices.
3. Manages basketball and The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) events for Navaio Technical University (NTU)
4. Travels with the teams to off-campus collegiate basketball events.
5. Prepares and maintains the program budget.
6. Acts as an advisor to the basketball Club and interact frequently with students, parents, boosters, and the general public.
7. Plans and coordinates fundraising activities for the basketball program.
8. Responsible for maintenance of the basketball facilities.
9. Insures all rules and regulations of NTU and USCAA are maintained
10. Help prepare for NTU Fall and Spring basketball; sponsors, stocks, personal, and etc.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. N/A (NTU Student Athletes basketball Members)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Knowledge of basketball.
2. Knowledge of fundraising activities
MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
2. Five years experience actively coaching basketball students.
3. Running experience preferred.
4. Valid state driver's license.
5. Must be able to pass background check, with NO prior convictions of any felonies.

17. Ability to communicate effectively in the Navajo and English language.
18. Ability to work as a team member in a structured working environment.
PHYSICAL OEMANDS:
1. While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods, walk and stand
2. Use hands for dexterity of motion, repetitive movement of both hands.
3. Have normal auditory, visual acuity, and verbal communications skills.
4. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
1. Work is generally performed in outdoor arena and some indoor class work.
2. Exposure to natural weather conditions, various dusts and mists, and normal debris and hazards common
at sites may occur while performing outdoor duties.
3. Physical risk working with livestock and equipment.
4. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common.
5. Evening and/or weekend work will be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.

Navajo Technical University is a Tribal University located on the Navajo Nation reservation in Crownpoint, New Mexico. We also have other sites that are across our reservation, two in NM (Zuni & Kirtland) and two in AZ (Chinle and Teecs Nos Pos).
