BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES DEPARTMENT
The Biological Sciences Department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) invites applications for a tenure-track ASSISTANT PROFESSOR position in Mycology, effective Fall 2024. The area of specialty is open. Possible research areas include but are not limited to fungal biology, fungal pathogens, fungal interactions with humans, plants, or animals, fungal symbiotic systems, fungal applications in biotechnology or environment, and systematics and evolution of fungi. Cal Poly Pomona is a comprehensive Master’s university with a diverse student body. Required qualifications: A Ph.D. in biology, microbiology, botany or a related field and post-doctoral experience are required. Previous teaching experience is preferred. The successful candidate will have the potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching, and for developing an externally-funded research program that will involve undergraduate and Master's students.
