This position is part of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE). As a Student Rights Specialist you will be responsible for investigating and responding to alleged student misconduct, notifying the campus regarding incidents and preparing the Annual Security Report, advocating for student rights and preventative programming for all students, and working on office administration tasks.
As a Student Rights Specialist GS-0301-9, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Serves as the first point of contact for the reporting of all concerning incidents or suspected violations of the law or of the Haskell Student Code of Conduct that occur on campus or among Haskell students while off campus.
Investigates allegations of student crimes or Code of Conduct violations, coordinating with Campus Security officers and/or the Lawrence Police Department where appropriate.
