The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County’s mission is to “inspire wonder, discovery, and responsibility for our natural and cultural worlds” and operates under a strategic plan to expand its role as a museum of, for, and with L.A., to create a new interdisciplinary model for understanding and connecting to nature and culture, and to strengthen and activate its research and collections to create and communicate new knowledge about our world.
