Research and Data Analysis' (RDA) Mission

RDA provides data, analytics, and decision support tools to improve the delivery of services that transform lives.

RDA Strategic Goals:

  • Provide policy makers and program managers with relevant data, analyses, and information to support innovations that improve the effectiveness of services for clients.
  • Provide DSHS program staff and contracted service providers with access to data-driven decision support applications to improve decisions about client care.

  • Protect confidential client data by handling sensitive information in accordance with federal law, state law and agency policy.

  • Protect clients through rigorous evaluation by the Washington State Institutional Review Board.

RDA, within the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, is a national leader in health and human services research.   RDA provides meaningful work pursuing health and social policy research using integrated client data .
