In 1982, the Navajo Nation Minerals Audit Program entered into a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Department of the Interior, Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR). The Cooperative Agreement provides for the performance of royalty audits and related investigations of Navajo Nation oil, gas, coal, and other solid mineral leases and operating agreements administered by ONRR.
The Minerals Audit Program is located in Window Rock, Arizona.
