The UW-Madison Division of Information Technology (DoIT) Information Technology Academy (ITA) (www.ita.wisc.edu) is an innovative pre-college program serving diverse students in the state of Wisconsin. ITA's mission is to increase enrollment, retention, and graduation rates of diverse students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as to diversify Wisconsin's IT workforce, in alignment with the UW- Madison's Inclusive Excellence diversity initiative. ITA serves 45 students in Lac du Flambeau, 45 students in Oneida, and 120 students in Madison.
ITA is housed within DoIT Academic Technology (AT) which consists of 70 professionals who design, develop and evaluate technology-enhanced learning experiences for today's learners. DoIT AT staff members work in an inclusive and supportive work environment and are encouraged to seek professional development opportunities.
