The Department of Anthropology at Appalachian State University invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning 08/01/2022. The requirements for the position are Ph.D. in anthropology and the capacity to develop an undergraduate archaeological field school in North America. Candidates who are ABD will be considered, but the position requires completion of all doctoral requirements in anthropology by the date of appointment.   We seek a dynamic, student-centered teacher-scholar committed to training undergraduate students in the classroom, lab, and field.
