Located in the Coachella Valley in Southern California, California Indian Nations College (CINC) is a two-year, public non-profit tribal college chartered in 2017 by the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians. CINC provides culturally-competent curricula that incorporates indigenous culture, Native language revitalization, and the re-institutionalization of traditional Native American values, along with personalized student success programs that support students in higher education and provide a strong foundation from which students can successfully transfer to a four-year institution. CINC is in the process of applying for institutional pre-accreditation. During this developing time, classes are offered as part of a dual-enrollment agreement with the College of the Desert, a California Community College.
As an emerging tribal college, the Trustees and the College staff are committed to reimagining higher education and building programs that genuinely serve the needs of our students, their families, and our communities.
