Coordinator of American Indian Student Recruitment, South Dakota State University. Responsibilities for this position include meeting the enrollment and recruitment goals of the university and Wokini Initiative, advising prospective students about SDSU, successfully managing a recruiting territory, and assisting with implementation of SDSU Admissions programs and activities. Required qualifications: earned Bachelor’s degree in American Indian Studies, Psychology, Sociology, or closely related field by first date of employment; ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences; strong oral, written, interpersonal and electronic communication skills; demonstrated organizational and time management skills; self-starter with demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate recruitment strategies and direct effective programs; must possess ability to represent SDSU in a professional, positive manner; must be willing to travel extensively and work flexible hours; must have a valid driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date.  An independent, self-starter who is committed to meeting the goals of the SDSU admissions office; ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment; experience working with Tribal communities; knowledge of Native American history or culture; demonstrated experience with student recruitment specific to underrepresented populations are preferred.
