Santa Fe Indian School (SFIS) is a sovereign educational community building upon its rich cultural legacy to be the leader in Native American education.

SFIS is owned and operated by the nineteen Pueblos of New Mexico.  SFIS strives to represent and support core values that our tribes have identified.  These core values define who we are as tribal people and represent what we believe to be our ideals.  

MISSION:  SFIS graduates will understand the issues facing tribes in the Southwest and will be committed to maintaining Native American cultural values.  They will participate in the culture of their communities, and will have the skills to purse the education or careers that will benefit them, their families and their people.

The Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator serves as the steward of the school’s academic curriculum, leading the development, alignment, implementation, and continuous improvement of the culture-based, SFIS Curriculum, including Core Values, Foundational Topics, Ideal Graduate Skills, and content standards.
