Red Lake Nation College was chartered by the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians in 2001 to provide higher education opportunities for Tribal members living on and near the Red Lake reservation in northern Minnesota. Red Lake Nation College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Red Lake Nation College offers two associate degree programs and has an average enrollment of 150-175 students each semester. Approximately 90% of students are enrolled Red Lake tribal members.
