Position Overview
As part of MSU Extension (MSUE) and the Health and Nutrition Institute (HNI), this position provides local and statewide educational health and food safety programming in tribal communities with a focus on those communities located within Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, including the counties of Alger, Chippewa, Luce, Mackinac, Marquette and Schoolcraft. This position will have statewide responsibilities and will collaborate across work teams, Institutes and community groups, working with faculty, specialists and educators.
In this position, you will assess tribal community education needs, and will identify, design, implement and evaluate research-based educational programming created through a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) lens, disseminate research-based information through various methods, such as multi-media, direct education and written articles.
