The Indigenous Liberal Studies (ILS) Department invites applications for instructional assistant professors to build our adjunct pool in Indigenous Liberal Studies. These applicants need to have a background in Native American/Indigenous studies, social sciences, and research methodologies. SUMMARY OR RESPONSIBILITES : The incumbent, reporting to the VPO, directs leads and oversees a range of facilities related functions, which include: Capital Improvements : serves as project manager and main point of contact for construction and capital improvements at IAIA. Facilities Department : Supervise the facilities staff. Manage the department’s administrative and project delivery processes including services provided by external vendors and/or contractors. Oversee the department’s operating budget. Security : Oversees the college’s 3rd party security contractors and acts as a liaison between IAIA and the contractor’s senior management. Summary of Responsibilities: The Studio Arts Department seeks a candidate for fulltime faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor – Sculpture and 3D foundations. The ideal candidate will be an artist with an active artistic practice and have at least two years of teaching experience at the college level. Candidates will teach all levels of undergraduate sculpture and fundamental art courses with an emphasis on contemporary media and Indigenous arts and theory. The sculpture studio areas and facilities support creative learning in areas including wood, stone, metals, glass, and foundry.
