Multiple fellowships are available from 2024 through 2026 at the American Museum of Natural History in the Conservation Department, which cares for collections in the Anthropology Division and Natural Science Departments. Applicants should be interested in the care, conservation, or research of museum collections. Experience in one or more of these areas is preferred but not required. A term of 3–4 months is recommended; shorter or longer terms will be considered on an individual basis. Applicants must be 18 years old and over and Indigenous from the continental US, Hawaii, Alaska, or Canada. The fellowship is best for students and entry-level professionals. The Public Health Undergraduate Scholars Program (PHUSP) is an eight-week residential program at the University of Pittsburgh designed to encourage college students to consider careers in public health. The program focuses on health equity, maternal and child health, environmental justice, and climate and health.  PHUSP offers internship placements, classroom instruction, group activities and mentorship to provide students with opportunities for growth, education and awareness of the role public health professionals play in supporting safe and healthy communities. The program's goal is to advance health equity by increasing public health workforce diversity.  Program dates for summer 2024 are June 10 to August 2, 2024. PHUSP scholars will participate in classroom-based and experiential learning opportunities at the University of Pittsburgh and in public health settings throughout the city.
