The candidate will provide leadership, subject matter expertise, and coordination for NCI’s Moonshot activities related to adult and pediatric cancer genomics and the utilization of shared resources to ensure achievement of Cancer Moonshot Initiative and Blue-Ribbon Panel goals. In doing so, the candidate will be expected to design and initiate programs, build infrastructure, build teams, and execute new scientific initiatives. The candidate will be expected to provide expert knowledge and first-hand experience in developing and improving genomic data systems and technologies into which sequencing data and high-content functional screening data will be deposited to facilitate breakthrough findings for improved treatments. The candidate will manage a portfolio of contracts and grants supporting cancer genomics and translational research totaling nearly $30 million that support the achievement of the Cancer Moonshot Initiative and Blue Ribbon Panel goals and forward NCI’s priorities...
