This position is part of the Bureau of Indian Education located at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas. As a Custodial Worker you will be responsible for providing janitorial services to university facilities, offices, and buildings. As a Custodial Worker WG-3566-2, your typical work assignments may include the following: Performs comprehensive cleaning of classrooms, education laboratories, computer rooms, offices, hallways, dormitory/residential, and restroom facilities, etc. Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and replenishes supplies, cleans spills, cleans drinking fountains, mirrors, tables, walls, fixtures, blinds, light fixtures, etc. Empties trash cans and relines cans with liners. Sweeps, mops, steam clean, waxes, polishes, and buffs floors. Vacuums and shampoos carpets and rugs. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: The Tribal Subject Matter Expert on Health and Safety provides high quality training and technical assistance (TTA) that improves the capacity of Tribal early childhood programs. The Tribal SME will support the Regional Technical Assistance Specialist Team and the Training and Resource Development Team to develop and deliver training and technical assistance to Tribal Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) grantees that reflect the diversity of languages and traditions that exist in American Indian and Alaska Native cultures.
