Job Description

Position Title: Part-Time/Temporary Elementary School Basketball Game Referee

Department: Theodore Jamerson Elementary School (TJES)

Reports Directly To: TJES Principal

Status: Part-Time/Temporary; Exempt

Salary: $30.00 per game


Summary of Duties:

  • Attend all home basketball games for TJES Girls and Boys basketball games.
  • Officiate the games in a fair and calm manner.
  • Comply with all duties asked by principle.
  • Represent TJES in a professional manner, wearing proper referee attire.
  • Substitute players from both teams in and out of the games.
  • Inform Principle ahead of time if unable to work game.


Supervisory Responsibilities:



Working Conditions:

Position will require working evenings and weekends.


Physical Demands:

Must be able to physically run up and down the floor keeping TJES fair and under control.


Minimum Qualifications:

Must understand the game of basketball.
