The Division of Educational Leadership & Innovation in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Educational Studies. This is a benefits-eligible academic year position beginning August 16, 2020. The MLFTC Bachelor of Arts in Education for Educational Studies (BAE) degree is a degree program for educators working in nonprofit settings, community institutions, civic organizations or businesses. The program does not lead to teacher certification/licensure in any U.S. state and is designed for educators in different contexts than certified K-12 classroom teachers. It prepares individuals to be creative educators, innovators, advocates, and leaders in organizations that support the development of children, youth and/or adults
The faculty members involved in this degree are dedicated to making positive social change through scholarship, teaching, and service. The ideal candidate is focused on teaching a wide range of diverse learners (e.g., racially, economically, linguistically, culturally) and scholarship with education broadly defined in multiple settings and societies. The successful candidate will: 1) teach in the Educational Studies program and other relevant programs in MLFTC; 2) effectively team with colleagues to improve the Educational Studies and related programs; 3) maintain and improve program ties with educational stakeholders in local and distant communities; 4) maintain an active research agenda; 5) provide service to the institution, profession, and community.
