This position serves the tribal policy expert and liaison in the implementation, consultation and coordination of the WisDOT’s Partnering Agreement required by the Governor’s Executive Order 18. This includes a range of programs and activities related to tribal affairs including but not limited to economic development, cultural resources, environmental issues, transportation safety, partnership, and training. Under the general supervision of the Tribal Affairs Program Manager, this position works to help implement the Statewide Tribal Affairs initiative under the Tribal Partnering Agreement through program review, analysis and development.
Specific responsibilities of the position:
Perform comprehensive program and policy analysis and related research, program planning, program evaluation and related financial activities, or comparable analytic functions to help implement the Statewide Tribal Affairs initiative under the Tribal Partnering Agreement in coordination with the Tribal Affairs staff team objectives.
Provide oversight of Intergovernmental Agreements project funding in accordance with federal and state requirements by utilizing reports.
Provide independent policy and management analysis, and special technical support to the Tribal Affairs Team.
Provide outreach for the Statewide Tribal Affairs program in coordination with the Statewide Tribal Liaison.
