Job Description

The University of Minnesota Morris' Native American Student Success (NASS) Program seeks a Mental Health, Wellbeing, and Cultural Coordinator. The Coordinator builds connections and services to foster Native American students’ health and wellbeing through strong cultural programming, including increasing the understanding of intergenerational trauma in Native communities and interrupting its impacts. The Coordinator will facilitate student mental health workshops, access to culturally protective practices, and other related programs and services. The position facilitates visits by Native American elders, aunties, knowledge keepers, and mental health professionals specializing in historical trauma, mental health/wellbeing, Native lifeways, and culturally protective practices. This position will lead efforts to build relationships that support students' home away from home, sense of belonging, and mental health and wellbeing
Appointment Details: This is a 100% time, in person position on the UMN Morris campus. The annual salary is $48,500 - $58,500.
