As the Partner Program Coordinator, you will play a key role to lead and facilitate the successful planning, coordination, and implementation of partnership-based programs with a particular emphasis on outreach, engagement, and collaboration with Native Nations and communities.

Position: Partner Program Coordinator

Location: Albuquerque, NM (Remote work available)

Type: Full-time Non-Exempt

About AIANTA: AIANTA is a dynamic organization dedicated to advancing cultural tourism in Native Nations and communities. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Partner Program Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the success of our mission.

Job Description: The Partner Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in the success of programs aimed at planning, coordination, and implementation of partnership-based programs. Most projects involve researching current and historic Native Nations and communities associated with the project, requiring you to establish connections with Native leadership, cultural practitioners, elders, artists, youth, and other cultural representatives specific to the identified public land area. Your responsibilities extend to coordinating with public land partners, accurately entering contact information into AIANTA's tourism database, collaborating with AIANTA's teams for seamless project planning and implementation, and conducting data reporting and analysis on project outcomes. Additionally, you will ensure compliance and reporting based on project requirements, provide general administrative and program support, and identify training, technical assistance and other resource needs. Success in this role demands excellent communication, administrative, and technical skills, along with the ability to interface professionally with partners. Please note that the list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative and not exhaustive, representing the diverse tasks performed by this position. The Partner Program Coordinator may be required to perform other tasks as assigned by the Tribal Relations and Outreach Manager or AIANTA’s leadership.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position possesses a bachelor’s degree coupled with a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in project planning, coordination, and management, particularly in hosting business and/or education-related events. Strong capabilities in research, outreach, data management, and compliance are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working with Native American Tribal organizations, travel and tourism businesses, and/or not-for-profit organizations. While experience with public land agencies is preferred, it is not mandatory. A comprehensive understanding of the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association's mission and goals is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Constant Contact, Wild Apricot (or similar membership software), virtual platforms like Zoom, and presentation software such as PowerPoint is required. The successful candidate will exhibit outstanding written and verbal communication skills, excellent technology proficiency, strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. The ability to collaborate with diverse groups, along with maturity, professional judgment, resourcefulness, flexibility, and a proactive approach to challenges and opportunities, is essential. Exceptional troubleshooting skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality round out the qualifications for this dynamic role.

Salary: Salary level depends on experience.  AIANTA offers a robust benefit package.

To Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit their cover letter, resume/vitae, and 3 professional references to Ariel Richardson, Office Manager, AIANTA at arichardson@aianta.org by February 9, 2024, 5:00 p.m. MT.
