Position Title: Project Director                                             FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt

Department: Academics                                                       Job Status: Full-Time

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.        Salary: $70,000-$90,000 (funded by       S415C230005 grant by US. Department of Education for 5 yrs.)

ORGANIZATION AND LOCATION:

Little Priest Tribal College, 601 East College Drive, Winnebago, NE  68071

 

Purpose of Position:

 Little Priest Tribal College has received a 5-year grant from US Department of Education called “Native American Language Resource Center” (NALRC) for $1.748M. The Project Director (PD) is responsible for the management and implementation of this grant. The PD is compensated by this grant and is established only for 5 years. Job Responsibilities:

·         Coordinate, manage and implement the entire NALRC grant at the college.

·         Must attend all mandatory meetings with US Department of Education.

·         Must submit all reports as expected in the grant.

·         Must be physically located at LPTC campus.

 

Qualifications:

·         Masters’ degree required. Doctorate degree preferred from an accredited college or university.

·         Required - experience in grant management and compliance.

·         Possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the Tribe’s insurance company.

·         Strong history of budgeting and reporting federal grants.

·         Native language certification is highly preferred.

·         Strongly preferred – member of a federally recognized Indian tribe.

·         Strong understanding of indigenous languages, cultures, and tribes.

·         Highly experienced in Instructional Design and LMS.

·         Preferred understanding in World Language Standards/Framework.

·         Strong background in MS Excel

·         Must be able to coordinate with other NALRC grantees.

·         Must be able to coordinate with VPTL and Director of Grants on a regular basis.

 

TRAVEL: IF APPLICABLE

·         50% or higher travel anticipated.
