The University of Minnesota Morris is seeking applications for the position of Alumni Relations Officer. This is a 100% time, 12 month, annually renewable position.
The Alumni Relations Officer (ARO) reports to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and the Senior Director of Advancement, with daily work in close connection to Advancement and Communications and Marketing. The ARO also coordinates with and leverages the services of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association. The Alumni Relations Officer holds primary responsibility for building and maintaining relationships between alumni and the University of Minnesota Morris that enrich the lives of alumni, support student success, and advance the UMN Morris. The campus ARO understands UMN Morris priorities and engages alumni talent to support those goals, and monitors and evaluates program outcomes compared to goals. The ARO manages and oversees the UMN Morris Alumni Association and works with Career Services and other staff (internship coordinator) as well as campus and UMN system resources to connect current students with alumni. The ARO creates/supports programming to inspire alumni to serve as ambassadors and advocates for UMN Morris for current students.
