Job Description

 

The University of Nevada, Reno, is recruiting for a Business Manager for the Innevation Center. The Business Manager is responsible for creating and supporting an environment in the Innevation Center that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship in support of a vibrant innovation ecosystem in the region. The position enables members of the Innevation Center to achieve their entrepreneurial goals by designing and managing operations, managing student workers and administrative staff, planning and executing events, partnering with community groups to conduct programming to support K-12 STEM education, and managing ongoing relationships with community groups that are clients or partners to the Innevation Center.

 

The position will also provide fiscal leadership to ensure smooth operation of the facility including creating and managing annual budgets in collaboration with VPRI Office, conducting assessment of membership pricing strategy to meet revenue goals aligned with the operating budget, marketing the Innevation Center and recruiting new innovative startups to be part of the Innevation Center family. Finally, the incumbent coordinates with the Director of the Innevation Center in building and nurturing connections with the community, EDAWN, and University faculty, staff, and students.

 

Required Qualifications

 

Master's Degree and one year of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree and two years of related work experience

 

Related Experience: Business Operations, Non-Profit Management and/or Start-Up experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

Experience in managing entrepreneurial centers and/or co-working facilities with finance and operational responsibilities
