Summary:

We are excited about our recent opportunity for an Education Manager.  You will guide, monitor, and coach current and new employees within the Education Department. You will work in both an in person and hybrid learning environment.  You will build relationships with staff, students, and tribal members.

Expectations:

Provide leadership, training, and development of employees. Monitors employee engagement, performance management, goals, and objectives.

Monitors the review of student caseloads, student attendance reports, progress reports, and report cards. Prepares a monthly report of student progress updates. Motivates, develops, and provides direction to employees.  

Assists employees by reviewing academic plans for each student in all core academic subjects. Provides guidance in the development of lesson plans based on student ability and needs. Reviews instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.

Provides a high level of service delivery to families to improve the success of all students. Works to engage families as partners in meaningful ways. Ensures that equity and culturally responsive teaching practices are embedded in the education to students.

Reviews with employees and Director on the up-to-date learning and behavior plans for each student as needed throughout the school year.

Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and works to build trust with staff, tribal members, and their families. Nurtures an open, collaborative, and trusting environment.

 Mandated reporter of suspected child abuse or neglect. Participates in all Education Department meetings and events as required.

Demonstrates enthusiasm for promoting the mission and vision of the Education Department.

Will assist in staffing student teachers as needed. And assist with the annual budget process.

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Special Education, Child Psychology or related filed required
  • Master’s Degree in Education preferred
  • Five or more years of experience working as a teacher, administrator or related role in the Education field, to include three years supervisory experience
  • Proven team management/leadership experience required
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention certification required
  • Experience working with virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams)
  • Efficient in using technology like (WebX, Office 365) required
