Reports To: Vice President of Finance & Operations                  Work Schedule: Day hours

 

Organization and Location:

The position is located at 601 E. College Drive, Winnebago, NE. 68071.

 

Purpose of Position:

Little Priest Tribal College is accepting applications for a Director of Grants. This FT/Perm position will be responsible for managing grants, grant writing is preferred. This is a full-time position and considered exempt under FLSA. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each function satisfactorily. Qualifications:

Must have knowledge of foundation and federal grant application processes. Should be skilled in internet research. Highly advanced clerical skills, including filing, scheduling, and reporting. Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred. 3 years minimum experience in grant management and writing.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Locates, screens, and distributes appropriate grant opportunity information to appropriate College faculty and staff members.
  • Develops and maintains grants.
  • Collaborates with the Vice President of Teaching & Learning, Vice President of Finance & Operations and President or designee to coordinate Little Priest’s government grants. This responsibility includes collaborating on accountability for these grants/contracts and the relationships that support these funding streams.
  • Develops pre-proposal and proposal agreements, letters of intent, etc., for priority projects/programs.
  • Assists administrators, faculty, and staff members throughout Little Priest Tribal College to develop and submit grant requests for their own program specific or research funding needs.
  • Assists with program reviews and site visits by prospective funders.
  • Provides draft proposal and budget editing.
  • Serves as clearinghouse for final proposal and budget signoff before proposals are submitted to external funders.
  • Tracks status of all proposal submissions.
  • Monitor grant awards to ensure that projects are on track and that the goals and objectives described in the grant are met.
  • Maintain calendar of all grants indicating due dates for financial reports and program reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
