The NMTC Impact Analyst plays a key role in supporting the corporate mission and helping Clearinghouse CDFI remain true to its triple bottom line – people, profit, and planet. The NMTC Impact Analyst has a deep understanding of the socio-economic issues faced by low-income communities and other targeted populations, including African American, Hispanic/Latinx, and Native American. The NMTC Impact Analyst uses this understanding and his/her experience to support, provide recommendations and help execute strategies to enhance the Company's social responsibility efforts, including community impact, accountability and transparency, workforce, and environmental.




  • Negotiates Community Benefit Agreement for each New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) project with Community Development Entities involved and the borrower before deal closing.
  • Collects, reviews, and evaluates Community Benefit Agreements for each active NMTC project during the compliance period.
  • Leads the methodology, collection, and implementation of NMTC borrower surveys. Continuously improves methodology, process, and procedure.
  • Inputs and tracks NMTC project/borrower metrics and analyze the data to determine community outcomes.
  • Leads efforts to create and execute annual case study on NMTC projects/borrowers.
  • Articulates the findings/analysis of the NMTC data to staff and other stakeholders and use that information to improve impact.
  • Prepares internal and external impact reports related to NMTC, including investor/partner surveys and various compliance reports to certifying agencies.
  • Utilizes Clearinghouse’s Customer Relationship Management system, nCino, to pull reports and create NMTC dashboards.
  • Assists with NMTC Application writing and provides impact data/statistics and research and works closely with NMTC Department team and external consultants for NMTC Applications.
  • Perform other duties that are assigned or required.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.


Education and/or experience:


  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience
  • Prefer 1-2 years of experience in impact data/metrics/key performance indicators, and understanding of socio-economic issues for low-income populations and other targeted populations (e.g., African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American)
  • Prefer 1-2 years of experience in New Markets Tax Credit


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Passion for corporate social responsibility and helping others
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a timely manner, both verbally and written
  • Understanding of survey methodology, collection, and implementation
  • Strong analytical, research and writing skills
  • Experience in grant/application writing, a plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to be flexible and to work under pressure
  • Possess a positive attitude and drive for improvement
