Position:  Library Coordinator                                                   FLSA Status:  Salary, Exempt

                                                                                                                        $36,000-$42,000

Department:  Library                                                               Job Status:  Full-time

 

Reports To: Vice President of Teaching & Learning                   Work Schedule: Day hours, additional

hours may be required on an as needed basis

 

Organization and Location:

The position is located at 601 E. College Drive, Winnebago, NE, 68071.

 

Purpose of Position:

The Library Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeingll functions of the library and is under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Teaching & Learning. The Coordinator will ensure the library maintains a high level of customer service to LPTC and the Winnebago community.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Supports academic coursework with library resources as needed.
  2. Responsible for development and management of all library materials and services.
  3. Develops resources for community library services in conjunction with appropriate tribal programs and organizations.
  4. Supervises library staff, work study students and volunteers

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution. Work experience in academic libraries preferred; experience in public, special or school libraries is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain a Nebraska Library Certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of library work experience preferred.
  • Effective communication, decision-making, leadership, management, ability to research, computer literacy, strategic planning, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Good community relation skills.
