The Director of the El Centro department is a full-time, 12 month, Administrative Professional position reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs. Staff members include one Assistant Director, one Student Success Coordinator and student staff. The Director is expected to provide forward thinking leadership on behalf of the students, be aware of current and relevant topics within the Latinx communities on campus and broader society that will impact our student’s experiences. The Director provides leadership for the administration and overall vision for the center and all programs and services in conjunction with the other professional and student staff. El Centro is part of the Student Diversity Programs and Services cluster comprised of the Asian/Pacific American Cultural Center, Black/African American Cultural Center, Native American Cultural Center, Pride Resource Center, Student Disability Center and the Women and Gender Advocacy Center.
