Job Description

The Senior Vice Provost/Academic Affairs (SVP/AA) serves as the provost's liaison for Academic Affairs, including activities with colleges, support units and external agencies. The SVP/AA is responsible for the oversight of the following areas: academic program review, assessment, curriculum and instructional support, accreditation, and the online faculty information system, as well as student support areas such as global engagement, community engagement, first year experience, and honors.

An earned doctorate or other terminal degree.
A distinguished record of teaching, research, and curriculum development and collaboration with academic units.
Outstanding leadership and administrative skills in higher education as appropriately related to the areas of responsibility, such as including, developing, and leading undergraduate student success or curricular innovation initiatives at the university level.
Advanced knowledge of and experience with current accreditation and assessment methods in higher education, including qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with regional, national, and specialized accreditation agencies.
Experience addressing the needs and concerns of underrepresented and other marginalized groups and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Experience developing and maintaining strategic, collaborative relationships with stakeholders at the university level and in the community.
A commitment to shared governance.
Demonstrated ability to lead positive change.
Ability to analyze and interpret data and communicate this to a broad set of audiences.
