Job Description

Position Title: Maintenance Laborer

Department: Facilities

Reports Directly To: Maintenance Construction Supervisor

Status: Non-Exempt

Salary: $14.00 per hour

Summary of Duties:

The Maintenance Laborer is responsible for assisting all Facilities personnel during construction and general maintenance including but not limited to the following:

  • Assist with all phases of construction projects;
  • Assist with campus clean up;
  • Assist with painting;
  • Assist with grounds keeping;
  • Assist with snow removal;
  • Follows the proper UTTC procurement policies and procedures;
  • Must work a minimum of eight (8) hours during Powwow weekend as needed; and
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


Working Conditions:

Position requires working days, evenings, some weekends and holidays. Additional hours may be required to complete projects or in emergency situations.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.;
  • Must be able to climb a ladders up to 20 ft. or higher; and
  • Must be able to stand or bend for hours at a time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED.
